Slp blackwing
i just installed an slp blackwing . i did disconnect the battery easy install. but here is my question: why is it that i keep getting a check engine light? i plugged in my programmer and it say that it is running lean and gives the code. i reset the fault it clears but it comes back under a moderate take off. so anybody have any ideas? i did recheck all connections and went back to stock tune. it does it in either stock tune or the diablo tune?

I purchased a used SLP blackwing and installed it on my stock 08.
When done after a few miles I got the code for mass air flow senor.
I replace it with stock system and code was still there. Had to take to dealer to reset code.
Called SLP and they came out with a new filter for the 08 and up the first filter they now know is giving that problem. I was told that not having the original sales slip they could not replace faulty filter with new for no charge. I can see that. Call them I think I talk to Don there. 732-244-0867 Code flashing was 171-174.

Did you check for a loose connection somewhere??Other then that,my 08 had the CEL come on too for to lean when I put a AIR RAID filter on.I did cut holes for fresh air to actually make it more of a true CAI,but eventually I had to replace the shroud and I put a Z06 filter on (no silencer box) and all is well now.For some reason these 08's are tempermental,more so then my 05 ever was!

i did call SLP they said to recheck the connections. i did then i called them back. i have a smooth tube between the intake and the MAF they suggested to put the original bellows back on. i gave mine away but i ordered another one ill try that
