Default GS replica wheels

Does anyone know of a company that is producing Grand Sport replica wheels in standard C6 sizes yet? I figured there would be a market for them by now.

I wouldn't mind some in the exact GS sizes in the black chrome... I'd be very tempted to buy a set for my upcoming black GS (TPW 2/15 ). I saw someone's black Z06 with new black chrome spyders a few days ago and they look great.

I would definitely buy a set of silver if I could get them in stock C6 size.

That is just my luck. I love the GS wheels but only want standard silver. Guess I will have to just stick with my split-spokes.

Me too. I'm not into chrome and I don't like the darker wheels.

Not only are the GS wheels nice I really like the Z06 Spyder style as well. I have done quite a lot of searching and it looks like those too are only available in Shiny or competition grey in the stock C6 sizes. The silver are only available in Z06 sizes.

why settle for something less than what you want . they make silver paint...paint them . not only will you have what you want...no one else will what you have.

Couldn't you powdercoat them?

iridelow,

Good to see you back! You even got the right color this time! LOL

Like was suggested if you want the GS wheels in silver, talk to corvette pilot about what you are wanting to do. He did my calipers and just gives excellent service.

Ultimately you are correct. I could probably get the wheels in a different finish in the proper size and have them redone, but the cost would be too great. I think I will put the $ towards an Edelbrock E-Force supercharger instead. I believe that would be $ better spent.

If anyone would know it would be Bob at House of Wheels who is a Forum vendor. Just PM them.

I seem to remember a post some time ago from another Forum vendor about the availability of GS wheels. Do a search and see what pops up.

The finish on this wheel is achieved through several different phases. The finishing process includes a silver powder coat foundation followed by two layers of clear coat, not a one stage enamel. This is the correct way to finish a wheel. They have an absolutely beautiful finish with a superior sheen due to the additional layer of clear coat. The photograph does not depict the superior finish of the wheel.

Good luck, silver seems to be the non-popular choice.

Maybe if enough of us chime in they will get the idea. Who else would buy a set of silver GS wheels in standard C6 sizes?
