Starting from scratch, I guess I'd be looking at the '08. However, if you can get a "like new" '07 (like mine) for thousands less, you can have fun modding to achieve the difference in hp and more.

What he said...

Because of all of the improvements, some people call the '08 the C6.1

Definitely a lot of improvements on the 08 worth springing for. Some don't really care for the steering change for 08 but that's a personal preference I suppose.

Yep, get the '08. My anemic '07 LS2 is a slug, the trans is a piece of crap, the interior looks cheap, the steering is so bad it handles like a Smart Car and the rear end probably will break any day now.

It would make more sense to call it the C6.2.

I will be looking for one around end of summer. 2008 is my target year but I certainly wouldn't scoff at a nice 2007.

Let me say that the 2007 is by no way inferior to the 2008 but if given the choice again, the 2008 would win hands down. First almost 10% OEM power increase with zero affect on gas mileage, better steering, availability of the NPP exhaust and full leather interior. One has a better chance of still having a factory warranty, bumper to bumper since both should still have powertrain warranty left over.
