Default Interior Lighting Issues

When my headlights go on the interior gauges don't dim and I'm missing my lighting for the A/C, Nav and the HUD controls. It's as if the car doesn't realize the headlights are on and isn't changing the lighting settings in the cabin. Is this a fuse issue?

Does the manual dimmer **** (by your left knee) work? Are they already dimmed all the way down?

Is this happening when you manually turn on the headlights or only when in 'Auto'?

It was the fuse to the parking lamps. I noticed they weren't going on either and checked the fuse which was blown. I replaced the fuse and now when the headlights come on the interior lighting responds. Maybe the signal to dim the dash and turn on the control lighting is triggered by the parking lamps.

I am glad that you found it. But, now, you need to figure out why the fuse blew.

You are correct sir.
I recently installed some LED replacement bulbs but don't think any of them are on that circuit.

I have two map lights, two footwell lights, one glove compartment light and two license plate lights. I did notice last night that one of the license plate lights had burned out after only a week or so. I replaced it last night and all is well. Time will tell if the plate light and parking lamp fuse issue are related.

I am currently waiting on the two cargo light bulbs.
