OIL Analysis REPORT Below was on Mobil !

UNIT ID: 05 CORVETTE
EQUIP. MAKE/MODEL: GM LS-2 6.0L V-8
Gasoline Engine Oil
FUEL TYPE: Gasoline (Unleaded)
OIL USE INTERVAL:
6,257 Miles
MICHAEL: Copper was the only element out of line in this sample and
even at 195 ppm, it's not high enough to suspect a problem is
developing. GM V-8 tend to leave a lot of copper in the oil until the
get to 30,000-40,000 miles, so as long as this reads lower in future
samples, it's not a concern. All other wear looks normal. Universal
averages show typical wear levels for this type of engine after about
4700 miles on the oil. The viscosity was in the 5W/30 range and no
fuel dilution or anti-freeze was present. Try running the next oil up to
7,500 miles or 18 months.

It's going to be very labor intensive to change the fuel filter, it's inside one of the two fuel-tanks. You would have to remove both tanks to gain access, it's not a maintenance item.
