Maybe it's just me, but probably not ! I joined this site, to hear good things about Corvettes and owners experiences with Corvettes as well as what the latest info is and who the best vendors are. I am not impressed with all the "Chest Pounding" or the listing of past Corvettes owned or Boats, and motorcycles and I'm certainly not impressed with pictures of other makes of vehicles and a listing of same on any posts. Many of these posts sound more like Mating calls than discussions about Corvettes and I guess I'm just not all that excited to hear about them, so I'll not be hanging around much. No, I'm not jealous !! I've owned C3's, C4's a C5 and now a C6 plus H-D's, boats, and Streetrods but that's getting into Information Overload !!!!!! I think many will agree and thanks for letting me Vent.

actually, no, I don't agree. I guess you don't understand how NOT to hit a button called "enter". that's the way to bypass any thread that doesn't interest you. sorry you don't like our threads. I'm certain some will miss you. esp. with all 5 of your great participatory posts on here. see ya around...
I hear what the OP is saying but it really comes down to knowing when to hit the keys needed to move on to other info. It is too bad when a good thread is jumped into by some nimrod and yes, egos do run rampant here. That said, it is a great place to learn a LOT about your Corvette or your potential Corvette and it can save you a LOT of time and money. This site has enriched my Corvette ownership experience immensely.
Everything's not for everybody. You're missing the "substance" part of the forum but . . . This site has more sub-forums packed with info than you can shake a stick at. But anyway, if it's not a good fit, you're doing the right thing by moving on.
Wow, I joined just a month ago, and I have found this forum to be fantastic! I am looking to buy my first Vette (for my wife actually) and I've learned more from here than everywhere else combined. I even enjoy the chest-pounding stuff! I don't own any boats or motorcycles, but my wife is the hottest 1960 model I've ever married. Does that count?

Hey vettedoogie, look up "nimrod" in the dictionary. I am a nimrod and damn proud of it.
As for the OP, don't forget this forum is a wealth of information at your finger tips when you need it the first time something goes wrong with your vette. Might not want to burn the bridge just yet.
