Default Lambo doors

Looking to put a set of Lambo doors on my 2006 Z06. Is anyone familiar with Sterling Accessories? Seem to be a pretty good product but wanted to double check to see if anyone had some input/another supplier

thanks

I don't think that you are going to find many members that have installed Lambo doors as they are generally frowned upon. However, you may try other forums for vehicles where Lambo doors are more popular.

To each his own, if Lambo doors are what you desire, then

You are about 15 years behind the trend.

They reserved the scissor doors for the V-12 Murcielago, not the V-10 Gallardo. Guess Lamborghini wanted to put the Lambo "trademark" doors on its flagship vehicle.

Default Lambo doors

I put on Lambo doors over a year ago...At 6'4" 260, I find it easier to get in and out of...I also find it much beter of a mod than putting a chrome piece on your fuse box...But to each is own...I have the Vertical Door kit...It's built much better than the stock hinges, the only issue I had was that one shock went bad fairly quick, but they replaced it and all has been well...Everyone that sees it from old people to young people like it...But then, I am the only one that really has to like it...If you don't like it after a while, you can always put your stock hinges back on because it is totally bolt on...

Thanks for your input. Did you get your kit from Sterling? or another provider?

For the guys above that took time out of their day to reply with dribble, thank you! guess not much else happening today?

New to the forum but thought it was a place to share ideas and information with other Vette owners... maybe I'm wrong

Lets face it, the vette is a pain in the @ss to get in and out of, these doors might make egress/ingress easier..

Welcome to the forum. One thing this forun is not short of is opinions. Good and bad. If you hang around here very long, you'l have to toughen up a little.
It's your car so if you like it, do it and post pictures.

I went directly with Vertical Doors Inc...I actually bought them at Carlisle...Do a searc on the web and you'll find a number of companies doing them...Make sure you use a direct kit for a C6, not a generic one...I agree with you and Joe too..Some people should just go back to putting their decals on and their mat protectors...Maybe they aren't very mechanical either, so that's why they stay away from tougher mods...
And Joe, your right, it's not easy getting in and out of Vettes, another reason for me...
Good luck

I don't understand. So you have to open your door, then you have to push it up into the air??? How is this an improvement over just opening it?

Good luck. Do whatever you want to make YOUR corvette YOUR corvette. Customizing is a GREAT idea, since so many corvettes look alike.

Go for it and ignore the haters.

The forum is absolutely a great place for info and ideas.

But you also have to be able to take a little criticism.

Some of us just like to have fun. If it makes someone else laugh, then there is nothing wrong with that.

Welcome to the forum.

But, every Corvette show I go to, anyone with these doors always ends up winning something. To each, his own.
