Prepare yourselves for a REALLY stupid question... :o can I purchase the GMPP from any dealer, and it can be handled be any other dealer? Or is it dealer specific?
Vin and current mileage is what you will need to supply.
You can purchase from any dealership. But why would you? Check with the forum dealers to get quotes. They are accepted throughout all dealerships that have a service dept. (GM)
I'd check with Dennis, he is very straight forward. See SteveL4446 link above.

That's why I was asking... to make sure I would be able to go through a forum vendor and have it honored at a local dealer

There are no dumb questions. GMPP is not dealer specific. You can buy GMPP from any nationwide dealer of your choosing. Plus any GM dealer will honor GMPP when your car needs servicing. I will forever buy my GMPPs from Dennis Fichtner even though he is in Laurel, Montana and I am in Texas.
I just took the advice from Forum members and used Fitchner to do a 60mo or 60k mi. bumper to bumper GM warr for an 07 coupe 3LT Z51 11k mi. - good anywhere- for $1500 w/100 ded. The vette is a very solidly built car. Drove a 91 for 103mi with only replacing the catalytic convertor. And, that was driven on Chgo streets! Get the 100 ded. since it drops the policy $300 (mine, depends on length). One of the forum members wrote me that he found another dealer on the Forum who was a bit cheaper,...at any given time that will happen. I had already pulled the trigger because the 3yr warr. was up the next day!
It is a pittance compared to what we'll be spending for tires and then 20k miles or so later we shell out $1500 for tires
