Picked up my 2010 BMW 135i last week and this is the first time I had the Vette out to run it a little before more snow comes tonight. Figured I might as well get some pics together. The 1's interior is so nice compared to the C6 and its a totally different feel. Its a quick sports Coupe with 300HP/300TQ and handles pretty good. The mags say its good for 4.7 0-60 and low 13's @ 105. But looking at the two side by side its easy to tell which one means business. Both of them are keepers.

Very Nice and it has a back seat. I don't think it's going to snow tonight

Thanks. Weather channel is still calling for 1-3" Island wide. Enough to keep the Vette tucked away.

Thanks Bill. Funny you ask. I ordered the BMW with the M-Sport package. That comes with 18" Hi Perf Summer tires. I still didnt get snows. Guess me and the wife will be sharing her car.

The BMW is faster than most people think and the interior is much nicer than the vette. I recently sold my Z4M to buy another vette and would have loved to keep them both. You have the best of both worlds! I like the vette better overall, but no matter what the magazines or anyone else says, the BMW Z4M will out handle a vette and keep up with it respectfully down the track ( mine had the 343hp M/// motor). But the vettes torque just can't be matched in the long run!!! Enjoy the Bimmer, but it can't replace a C6 vette!

You're right. Even the V8 M3 has only 300ftlbs. Its a sweet engine but theres no replacement for gobs of TQ. Hard to beat an American Smallblock for all that sweet twisting power. Glad I did the deal and traded in the Mini S.

Enjoy the 135! I drove the first 135 in Canada with the BMW approved perfromance kit for a week. It was incredible. If you want that 135 to really rip though get the Dinan package installed and watch what it will do! It will sure as hec make a few vette owners take notice. Congrats as you have the best of two worlds there.

Thanks for the advice. I've been reading up on the perf mods(JB3,Dinan) and others. I think I'm going to leave the car stock(for now). The Vette is S/C and makes more HP than I really need. Thats the week end ride. The 1 is my new DD and with what it has now is good enough. I get a good warranty and plan on keeping the car for a long time so Im not in a hurry to turn up the wick......... just yet.

Those little *35's are quick. There was a couple 335's in the bottom 12's last year on just a tune and drag radials here in Orlando.

...but it just looks awkward and dumpy next to the vette!

Most vehicles on the road do.

I think the 135i is better looking in person. Pictures dont do it justice. It has the same front facia as the M3/5 and it has a squat muscular look to it,
The 335 has a more flowing body style and is a beautiful piece of work but the 1 looks more sporty.IMO.

Did you do anything special to your car to get the 325 size tires to fit in the rear?

Nothing at all! CCW is about the only company that makes a qualty forged wheel with the proper offsets that allows for Z06 rubber to mounted all around using the stock bodywork. They fit perfectly with no rubbing anywhere.
