Me neither.

But I learned I should sell my vette because it can only hold two people. BRB

Seemed like a fairly cordial thread.
The E39 M5 is a fantastic car.
I traded sold my E39 540i to buy the Vette. I do miss it sometimes.

Wonder why they raced from a roll and who would have an advantage in that... Also looked like the M5 was already a car length ahead at the start.

Don't really see anyone putting down the Vette on that thread.

Seems to me most of them wished they had that kind of power in their BMW's.

Im guessing from a roll because its alot easier on the driveline. Holeshots take its toll over time.

Actually, they were very complimentary of the vette and also knowledgeable of the vette in my opinion. Nice to see a thread for a change where one brand doesn't slam another. To be honest I would love an M5 beside my C6Z. Nice machines.

When I had my BMW Z4M, I found that almost everyone on the Bimmer forum respected the C6 vette and only spoke bad of the interior. But I will say, I found a lot of members on this forum "trashed" the BMW. Kind of ashamed, because both cars are great sports cars, just different in many ways.

Most forums will have people that will bash everything other than the type they own.

No hate at all from m5board owners, I can guarantee that. I used to have an 03 Z06 and loved everything about it (except interior haha!). When the economy got rough, I had to change jobs which meant less money so my M5 or Z06 had to go. I chose to keep the M5 because it's a bit more "practical" but I'm really missing having a Vette. I think I'll pick up a C6 Z51 or C5 Z06 again next year. Thanks Vetteforums for keeping it cool.

A E39 M5 is no competition for a C6. On the other hand a E60 M5 is fast. I've gone up against 2 and they are just as fast if not faster than my stock LS3 and they can fit 5 people comfortably.

There are a number of things that I miss about my E39 M5. It was a great car and really hauls *** for a 4-door. I agree with cdn, I would love to still have it next to my Z06. The Vette will blow it's doors off but it still is an amazing car.

Good race IMO and I don't see any hating on that thread. The Beemer held up really well can't argue that.
