Hey fellas its been a while hope everyone is doing good enjoying their babies! lol
I have a small problem with the lot where i park my car at work....i work the overnight shift and there are alot of stray cats around and they seem to like corvettes. This is not cool especially when i found a tiny frozen puddle of cat **** on the hood of my vette. This is UNACCEPTABLE. any advice on what i can do to keep these cats off my car?
(ps. nobody else's car has had any pawprints or **** on it so its just my car!!!! and there are two mustangs a firebird and a few other cars right alongside mine)
Perhaps your hood was warm the others were not. Only reason a cat is going to sit on a car hood in the winter is warmth! It's also unlikely the cat was pizzing on the car unless he sprayed it.. which is also unlikely. I'd be more inclined to be looking at some BUDDIES spoofing you.. like putting the cat(s) on the hood when you weren't around???
Granted a fiberglass hood is going to be warmer than metal but once cooled it's unlikely cats are going perch there in the winter time.... As for keeping them off... not much you can do except keep a really high gloss finish which is so slippery they won't want to sit there anymore... or better still find out who's jerking your chain!!
At least they have good taste in cars. Got a couple in my neighborhood that for some reason, get on my truck roof and slide down the windshield to the hood. Gotta wipe their paw and butt prints off.
Pet stores sell cat repellant in spray can. I wouldn't spray it on your hood, but maybe you can find a way to use it.

Or some Mustang/Firebird owner, I wouldn't especially consider them buddies unless they actually used water and think this is a cool joke. Even then, anybody putting anything on my Vette would not be a buddy for long.

If I found out someone had done that to my vette I'd be slathering this stuff on their cars! You'd have EVERY cat in a 5 mile radius sitting on their babies..
SCAT MATS - I had an episode with our dogs using my car as an obstacle course. Ruined my clear bra and scratched the hood. Another forum member suggested these. They work like a charm. I actually taped 2 to an old car cover. They will run off a 9 volt battery and you can hook several together for good coverage. That'll keep 'em off. I guarantee it................just be sure to 'roll' the cover and mats up and not fold them.
