TPMS Question

I've had a number of different sensors used on various GM vehicles, and I've tried to program them into my C6 TPMS - but no luck.
Here's info from Gene Culley's website (gmpartshouse.com):
2010 +
15268606 – Tire pressure sensor - $41.28 each
15234846 – Tire pressure sensor nut - $3.73 each
Total set of 4 nuts and 4 sensors $197.68 shipped.
Note: The sensor comes with the washer and valve stem cap.
Setup includes: 4 sensors, 4 washers/o-rings, 4 caps and 4 nuts.
2005 – 2009
25758220 – Tire pressure sensor – $57.21 each
15234846 – Tire pressure sensor nut – $3.73 each
Total set of 4 nuts and 4 sensors $267.65 shipped.
Note: The sensor comes with the washer and valve stem cap.
Setup includes: 4 sensors, 4 washers/o-rings, 4 caps and 4 nuts.
The list of RPO codes in the glove compartment of the car has a code for the TPMS computer in the car - which is part of the RCDLR module (Remote Control Door Lock Receiver). A 2005 to 2009 C6 built for the U.S. has a code of UJ9 (a Euro spec car has a UH3). Do a search for the 2010 Corvette Order Guide which has the RPO codes for all standard and optional items, and you'll see that the 2010 has a UJM TPMS.
So.....I'm not certain, but about 99% positive that 2005-2009 sensors won't work in the 2010, and 2010 sensors won't work in the earlier C6 model years.
The 2010 sensors are cheaper, and they don't need a tool - better deal all around!!!

Even if it didn't, you could still do some diagnostics. C5 sensors could only be triggered with a magnet (BTW, I'm sure you know that the "U-shaped" area on the bottom of your TIPS tool is a magnet for sensors such as the C5 ones). Below is a video where I'm testing some C5 sensors before I put them up for sale in the C5 section.
You could do the same with your TIPS tool - just activate the tool, then trigger the sensor with the magnet. If the sensor transmits, the tool will pick up the transmission to let you know the sensor is working.
Same thing with the delta pressure method. You could activate your tool, let air out of the tire to trigger the sensor, and if the sensor is working your tool will pick up the transmission and give you some lights and beeps.
A tool with a screen may give a little more info (in the video below I'm checking an icon on the screen that indicates signal/battery strength), but on your TIPS tool if the 315 mHz light illuminates and you get a beep then the sensor transmitted and is working okay.

2005 thru 2009 use the same sensors - GM Part# 25758220
In the very early 2005 there was a different sensor, but they have been superceded by the part# above.
If you have a very early '05 which was built before about Sept 2004, then you may have the old original sensors. Those original sensors could be triggered with a magnet (did not need the tool that transmits a radio frequency). You can't get those sensors any more, but the part# above works with any 2005 TPMS computer in the car.
If your 2005 was built after about Sept 2004 they would have the same part# listed above.
So.....2005 to 2009 C6s use the above part# sensor; the 2010 C6 uses a different sensor. They aren't interchangeable.

And within about 2 miles, it reset on its own!
