Default Wire running question....

Ok, what is the BEST way to get a small wire from the engine compartment, near the battery, to the center console so I can switch it. I did not see any access holes.

I do have a Z51, and in the console there are the F55 wires and plug... is there a way to access that wire in the engine compartment?

Thanks,
Craig

Default Do a little looking!

Start looking on the engine side of the firewall and you should find somewhere where you can feed a wire through, maybe in the fuse area under the passanger rug. Might have to take the inner fender well panel off to find feed, there is also a vacumn line going through the firewall on the drivers side near the end of the fuelrail cover, be careful not to break.

If you take out the battery you will see the wiring harness right behind the battery. There is a rubber boot around the wiring harness that leads into the area of the fuse box on the passenger side. This is where I ran the vacuum line for my exhaust control. I just cut a small slice in the boot and used a electrical fish from inside the car and pulled the vacuum line thru from the engine compartment. Just be careful not to cut any of the wires.

I had one of those southern car parts fan control switches on my 08 in there instructions it showed running the wire under the black molding ( held in by a tox screw) just by the rear of drivers side door next to the windshield post.

It worked out good and I didn't need to make holes and was able to remove it before I traded the car.

It's hard to explain but they must have directions at there site....
