A friend of mine has a 2005 C6 coupe, and today after a while in storage, car would not start.Found his battery was down, charged battery, still nothing. Battery in fob was dead changed that and car started and ran fine. Two things have started happening now. (1) When he gets out of the car the window is not returning up, he can manually roll it up though, from the passengers side of course. (2) When he turns the car off and goes to get out and the seat goes backwards and the telescopic wheel goes back all as it is supposed to, the mirrors turn down towards the ground and does not return. Any help would be appreciated.
I have an 05 C6 and I had the battery go dead on me. I had the same problems you guys are having. The Dealership sent a tow truck to pick it up and they installed a new battery and reflashed the computer system. This was all done while still under the 3 year 36 Warrenty. Its been 2 years now and no problem since. I now use a trickle charger when I am not driving it for a while.
The window indexing will have to be reset any time the battery is disconnected (or goes dead).
Close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done.
This is called resetting of the window indexing or power window initialize and is in the owner's manual. See page 2-17 of the 2005 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2006 owner’s manual, page 87 of the 2007 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2008 owner’s manual, page 2-18 of the 2009 owner's manual, ,or page 3-18 of the 2010 owner's manual.
Try resetting the mirrors by putting them where you want them, then press and hold the memory button on the door for whichever fob number you're using.
Normally, only the window indexing will have to be reset when the battery is dead or disconnected.

I doubt they "reflashed" anything. Probably just indexed the windows.

I have a 2005 C-6 that I took delivery on 12-04. I'm still on the original factory Delco battery at 34,100 miles. No problems. It an A-4 and I drive it once a week and if I don't drive it once a week I start it up once a week.
You can get Optima batteries at Costco but I believe they cost around $140.
How about Interstate Megatron car battery?
