Not yet but looking at the go pro hero wide for some upcoming events. as i recall its www.goprocamera.com to see their site. Looking to get one for this years Hot Rod Power Tour in early June and the WSCC in Vegas in early March.
I have a regular camera tripod that I used first by putting 2 legs extended out behind the seats and the third leg shortened up pointing back and sitting on the cargo floor. Then I bought a little tripod that works similar. Oh, I used those stretch bungie style cords so tie it down. Run one to each mount where the rear hatch strut mounts and a couple down and latch behind the seats. Don't need much tension on them. Teh view out the front is just about right. I'd like to get a suction mount and try it outside teh car as well.
Mounts are excellent, I believe I can get barely over an hour on the expanded memory card.
It looks like the go pro hero wide can video about an hour with a 2gb sd card. can you put a bigger card in that wide camera like the regular hero? the hero can take a 32 gb card?

Id like to video more than 1 hour at a time?
Looks like they've come out with a newer model since I bought mine. Featuring HD, Extended battery and recording time.
I know they were talking about it on their site last year. They have firmware upgrades for the older units on their support section.

GoPro HD Motorsports gives me an hour and a half (maybe more) on the internal rechargeable battery. It can be recharged using USB if you have your laptop with you. In wide mode 720p I get 10 minutes for each 1 GB of memory. I have a 16GB card so 160 minutes of recording at a time.
I first mounted it on the inside of the windshield with the suction cup but have now stuck it to the dash with one of the included mounts which makes turning it on and off much easier.
