Anyone had experience with the Cray 'Manta' wheels? I've decided to keep the '05 for at least another year, so as long as I plan to buy tires I might as well get some wheels as well. I've been looking at repro Z06/ZR1, stock chromes, and the 15 spoke GCA ones as well. The Cray seem to be priced competitively, assuming the quality is there. Any input is appreciated...
Had a set when they first came out,Very good fit because they are made for the C6.If you are getting tires also go with the 19 F 20 R combo that CRAY has it looks really nice on the Vette.I think you will be very happy with that rim.
I have the Cray Scorpions and I can testify to the excellent quality of these wheels. One nice thing about Cray wheels is that they make them a half inch wider than stock but with proper backspacing. This allows you to run a little wider tire if you so choose.
They are of good quality. However, They are Heavier than stock wheel. If I remember correctly all 4 wheels are somewhere close to 33lbs heavier. It's like dragging a cinder block behind you…
But they do look good;
I have a set of the 19 F & 20 R. But don't use them at either track.

I had a set of Cray Manta wheels and was very happy with them, I sold them because I installed a rear widebody on my car, the wheels do not come any wider than 10.5 inches, if later on you decide to get wider tires for the rear you will have to sell them or get them widened but if you are keeping close to stock sizes, they worked for me.
I have been very happy with my Cray Mantas in Chrome. One of the above posters is right though....they ARE a heavy wheel, and will decrease your off-the-line pop.
I have had mine on for over two years and 9,000 miles and the chrome still looks like new. They've been through heck and back too, with gravel on the road at high speed. When I had them mounted, the tire shop said that they were very impressed with the rotational trueness of these wheels for aftermarket wheels.
I had the black cray scorpions. They are very good quality, balance well, and look good. They are a bit heavier than stock, but unless your quarter-mileing your baby, its not an issue.
