Well, if I might join it...today, March 5, 2010, I too just purchased my 1st Corvette ever & now see what I missed as a teenager! At 62 I can finally afford it...and I'm amazed to see the passion came back after all these years! BTW, my baby is a 2005 C6 Coupe in the Magnetic Red/Cashmere combo. I just came in from the garage after sitting in the driver's seat, listening to the Bose, fiddling with the Nav thinking how lucky we are. Better yet, my dear wife insisted I go ahead with the purchase! Life is now especially good! Thanks for listening to my ramblings...!

Good for you. I get what you are saying. My last sports car was a Camaro about 25 years ago. I then drove an SUV. I decided to get back into the driver's seat, so to speak 2 years ago when I bought Miata MX5. Fun car. Lots of fun, until I drove my boyfriend's C6. Well that did it for the Miata. So now "I got me one of those". Just like you. Best of luck to you with your Vette.
