C6 Squeeling brakes
Hello all New member w/ my new 2009 Coupe Just wondering why my brakes are giving me a little consern with the screeching I get out of the left rear when I brake anywhere from 25 to 50 mph....Will this go away (car has 2000 miles on it now) or should I be going back to the dealer?? Other than that all is perfect and I'm a happy man ... Thanks in advance!!Just need some warmer weather!!

In the owners manual, 4-4 (Braking), it states the following:
Under certain weather or operating conditions, occasional
brake squeak, squeal, or other noise might be heard with
the vehicle’s performance braking system. This brake
system is designed for superior fade resistance and
consistent operation using high performance brake pads.
Brake noise and brake dust are normal and do not affect
system performance.
Adding non-dealer/non-retailer accessories can affect
vehicle performance. See Accessories and Modifications
on page 5-3.
If you feel it is more than this, from the sounds of things, your vehicle is under warranty still. I would suggest contacting a dealership and having them take a look at it. If you run into any problems, please send me a message and I will be happy to look into this further for you.

Thanks for the quick response Geoff...I really don't think it's a big deal but I'll keep my ear on it!!Other than that , my wife says that every time I get out of that car it looks like I am trying to swallow a coat hanger!!!
