A question for those using a battery tender... which one are you using, and where did you purchase it? Trying to find out which ones are popular, which ones are good or not so good!
I've been using the Deltran Battery Tender Junior for over a year now and I love it. I got it as a Christmas present but I think you can buy one at most auto parts stores like Auto Zone, Pep Boys, etc. I use one on my C6 and one on my 55 Chevy Bel Air. Never had a battery problem since using these!
I have several Battery Tender Jr's. All have been great. Amazon sells them too, and has the extension cable if you need it. I have several vehicles that aren't run often and all of them have hot batteries when I need them.
I have 2 CTEK3300s...one for the Corvette and one for the MB.
For the Corvette, I mounted the charger on the ceiling, get the power off the duplex plug for the garage door opener, and run the wire to the battery where the connections are permanently attached to the battery terminals.
The MB is the every day car so I only hook up the charger when I go away for a week or more.

I have two of the Harbor Freight units and two Battery Butlers. They have all worked well for five years. All my cars stil have their original batteries including my 2002 Mercedes E320 with 120,000 miles.

Battery Tender Jr. I got 2 of them from a motorcycle shop. I've had one on a battery for over 3 years continously and every time I check the battery is doing fine.
I recently got the Schumacher microprocessor controlled unit. Model SC600A. It's got a guage that shows the battery's charge (increments of 25, 50, 75, 100 percent). When the battery is fully charged, it automatically maintains it from there. I believe most auto parts stores carry it, as well as Walmart.
