Great ride along Chris - thanks. Would have loved to see you head a bit further east in Nebraska and come through Lincoln.

Hey Chris. That's the same car you had at Effingham last Sept isn't it? Sweet car. Are you going anywhere near Madison WI while heading East?

Sorry to miss you. I dropped down into Kansas, then into OK. I head east, from here...

Unfortunately, not quite that far north. I'll be heading north after going east for awhile, passing through Chicago and Detroit by the end of this week

Actually, I won't be able to visit our Callaway Dealer, Stasek Chevrolet (in Wheeling, IL) on this trip. I need to drop my colleague at Midway, on my way to Detroit.

You are making good time Chris

It will be good to see you at Wilson Niblett Corvette on this Saturday the 27th for the 10th Annual Corvette Tech Session.

All the Corvette fans are excited and it will be a fun event.

And to those that posted before with questions as to the power of the Callaway Corvettes.....the SC606 Grand Sport is an awsome road machine with good track manners that will outrun a Z06. However, having driven the Callaway SC652 Z06 Corvette around Spring Mountain Raceway, I can attest to the fact that it will give ZR1 owners a surprise

Keep the pics coming Chris and let me know when you cross the Canadian border.

And, yes, you do have the best job

Running under the blue sky with an abundance of sunshine, it was a quick, three-hour drive to visit Callaway dealer, Harchelroad Motors.

As you may recall, they had a fire at their dealership last fall. It was good to see the dealership back on their feet, with a new showroom and warehouse for the shop and cars

On our way into town, an old abandoned Chevy dealer was spotted. See pic... Probably would'nt meet the standards of the "New GM"

After a late lunch, I continued east, and eventually made it to Salina, KS for the night. On to OKC for Sunday

Aside from a few surprise patrolmen, it was a pretty quiet day. In fact, not many drivers out there..

Enjoy the pics
Heck, even the brand new dealerships don't make GM happy any more. They are gone.

Arkansas had more Troopers than from CA to AR

Saw a 7 mile 1978 Pace Car Corvette still on MSO

Pretty uneventful ride... Did empty a tour bus and had about 30 ppl around the car trying to figure out how fast the car is, how they could drive it, and why it had CT tags in the middle of AR

Chris when will you be in Detroit? Where are you going to be once you're here? That is an awesome looking Vette.

Glad you enjoyed Arkansas, love the C16! Arkansas has a couple of those low mile 1978 Pace cars, another dealer has one with 3 miles and he also has a 1982 camaro pace car with 5 miles, both still in the wrapper and on the showroom floor!
