This isn't mine but mine looks the same except for the cashmere interior.

I went with the stealthbox. No reduction in trunk space.

I went with the stealthbox as well. It sounds very good, but doesn't have incredible bass due to the very small enclosures. I do think it is the best option out there that I have seen.

I have a JL Stealthbox in my Coupe and love it, if I had a Vert I would go with the JL's as well. The woofers are right behind you and will sound better than a larger sub taking up valuable space in the severely limited trunk.

I added a self-powered Infinity BassLink. It's pretty small and sounds great...and can be had for under $200.
The one thing I noticed with a sub in the trunk...it has a relatively high cutoff frequency...so the really deep lows are muted somewhat. I'm guessing about 50-60 Hz. It's not so much a characteristic of the sub but the acoustics of the trunk as far as I can tell. After listening the Infinity and realizing the really low frequencies were dampened, I temporarily installed a larger sub enclosure which kicks out some incredible low frequencies in my Nissan Murano. It had the same characteristics as the Infinity so again it seems to be more a characteristic of the trunk acoustics. However, the Infinity made a HUGE difference in sound over not having it...particularly with XM which really seemed to have very limited bottom end. With CDs and iPhone, it really kicks! This was added to the stock system.

That's the conclusion I came to...why I went with the Infinity Basslink. The Stealthboxes do look slick though.
There are some excellent install tips on this sticky...it took about 3 hours to install:

ALL JL stealthboxes are pricey. I was going to get one for another vehicle and it was equally as pricey. Ended up getting a mold made of the area I wanted to fill and added the JL sub. It was cheaper but not by a whole lot. Unsure if you could go the same route with the Vette.
