After consulting the manual of my 2007, it is to my understanding that there is a passenger sensor and if there is a passenger detected, the passenger side air-bag will be on. If there is no passenger, then the passenger air-bag should be deactivated.
I'm asking because my passenger airbag is always on whether or not there is a passenger in the vehicle and I get warnings from the car to buckle my passenger when It's just me riding in the car.
Is this a problem and I'm assuming if it is it's an issue I should take to the dealership?
This is something you should definitely have repaired immediately by a qualified service technician. A child riding in the passenger seat could be killed by the air bag activating at full force.

Thanks. I'll probably take it in this week. No children riding in my passenger seat..only hot chicks!
