as an fyi.........Black book wholesale average condition is 29,250.00 no deducts for the mileage at that class. If the car is clean and nice I would say it sounds fair to me.
Good price, but I'd personally chip in another 2k for something with half the miles. My 2 cents...

that's what i thought !!!!! no its not a hertz edition, its base coupe with chrome gumbys silver looks clean mite be able to get it for 28 but i think i would rather add more money get lower miles ....just sold my 06 z51 3lt i hope the extra power makes up for the options!
Just out of curiosity, are you guys saying that 35k is high for it being a 2008 or 35k is high for a used Vette in general? Is there any reasoning behind this such as increasing concerns over certain parts of the car?
Is it yellow with a black stripe down the middle? =P
I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the one you are referring to is the Hertz rental models. Out here in Hawaii they are going for anywhere between $35k - $41k. It has high mileage because it was probably rented out a lot, meaning a lot of different driving styles. Me personally I'd pass on it and keep looking. There are a lot of great deals out there.
Assuming the car has not been abused, or driven a large amount in stop and go traffic, 35,000 miles is not bad on a Corvette. The wear and tear on moving parts is minimal also assuming it was maintained properly with proper oil changes etc.
Sounds like a good price but does it have what you want such as color and options? If it does then go for it but if not keep searching for what you want and spend a few more thousand.
You kind of made a statement that you hope the 30-36 added hp will make up for lack of options. I don't think so; it really is 2 different things. As to the price, good, I'd say, but miles add or subtract from the price imo. And it has polished gumbys, not chrome (they weren't factory chrome if they are).
And to the other question raised whether 35K miles is a lot for an '08, yes and no. For a daily driver, no. For an occasional weekend car in the snowbelt, probably yes. Mine's an 8/07 bought '08, and it has maybe 22K miles on it.
