Stored my vette since November. Last Saturday I took her out of hibernation, re-connected the battery, started her up and all was fine (I didn't take her for a drive since I didn't have insurance back on yet). I left the battery connected because I was going to take a spin tonight. Anyway, tonight, it turned over once and died.
The question is: Is it worth charging the battery or will I just continue to have problems with it? Over the winter I simply disconnected the battery. That has always worked for all my other cars I stored for the winter. Obviously, the vette is a sensitive lass.
For those who have had this experience is it worth charging or should I just get a new battery? Thanks.
My car is an 08 purchased new in 09. It sat on the dealer lot for a year, however. Never had battery problems until now.

Reason: Pertinent info left out.

If it sat on the lot for a year, chances it suffered the same fate as many long-time lot cars -- its highly likely that the battery was run down dead several times and then recharged. Every time the battery goes dead and is recharged, it becomes a little more damaged, and it will not last as long as it normally would.
Bottom line -- even thought its only 2 years old, if it has been run dead several times, it could be time for a new battery.
Battery was on the edge...started once but since it was not driven, did not recharge battery enough to start again. No problem, just charge...and in future, charge once or twice during the winter.
