ok i have an 09 vert but im really liking the widebody look
iknow if i trade im going to take a bath so ques id i have roughly 18-20k to play with do i do a widebody 6k (painted and installed) wheels 5k, and s/c 8k or do i trade and put the 20k towards the new GS or possibly Z if i can squeeze it? Thanks in advance this forum is truly a wealth of knowledge

How many miles on your Vert? From a financial standpoint I'd stop looking a pics of GS's and keep your Vert until a C7 is on the horizon so we can see whats ahead for the Vette. If you have "money to burn" then go for it. Personally ,not enough of a change to trade into.

Just my Opinion and info from another perspective to think about.
When I was first looking for a new Vette, I was in love with the Wide body "look".
I didn't want a Z but I was tempted because of the "look".
If the GS was available at the time I would have had to think long and hard before making a decision.
Now that I have my 09 Coupe I'm happy with it and realize I do not want the bigger tires and everything that goes along with it.
Not knocking it as it is a Great setup and to each his own.
But, bottom line to me was the base Vette tires etc are plenty for me on the street and glad I didn't go with the bigger tires and wide body simply because of the "looks" alone.
