Need quick clarification.... (brake pads)

True or false: "base" and Z51 brake pads are identical and interchangeable, correct?

I am helping a buddy change his pads on his 2006 coupe, and he has the Z51 brake "upgrade" package (rotors and brackets, but "base" calipers). He bought a set of Z51 pads, they will work in his "base" calipers, correct? I *think* I remember reading that all C6 pads are interchangeable, so these should be fine, correct?

They will fit the base calipers. The compound on the Z51 pads may be more aggressive than the base pad but dimension wise they are interchangeable.

Same pads. In 2006, pads were either Z06 or non Z06.
