Anybody have any advice for cleaning interior scuff marks on the door? My interior is black, but they still show up. Not the end of the world since this will continue to happen for the life of the car, but while they are relatively few in number, figured I would ask.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, available in the detergent aisle at the grocery store and in the auto detailing aisle of Wally World. Usually either 2 or 4 eraser sized sponges in a box. Wet one, wring out the excess water and just a couple of light swipes. They are slightly abrasive. Reuse the sponge over and over again.
One of the first things you probably noticed about your new C6 is that the door panel gets scuffed up really easily when exiting your Corvette... high impact acrylic protectors snap onto your lower door panel in seconds and protect from scuffs and dirt when entering or exiting your Corvette.
I have a set of these. Perfect fit, no issues (except $50).
I will agree with CO Lightfoot, Get the door protectors guards and also if so inclined they also make some door sill protectors that snap over the threshold area as well. I paid about $70 for the set. They come in clear and black.
Beware of using any harsh cleaners on those door panels; over time, they will damage the finish...try using a damp cloth at first and then protect them with Aerospace 303. They should apply this to the door panels at the assembly plant, it's that good!

I scuffed my cashmere panels with my boots. I've tried everything mentioned. Nothing has worked. I think I'll have to have the panels dyed...and then try the aero 303 stuff...whatever that is.
If you've severely scuffed them to the point of gouging or abrading the surface, then dying may be your only hope short of replacement.
I personally have had good luck with the Magic Eraser and Aerospace 303, which is a cleaner, similar to Armor All, but it does not leave the surface shiny or slippery.
It's available online from Auto Geek or at West Marine.
Try Aerospace 303 Cleaner or Plexus Plastic Cleaner/Protectant or Zaino Z-9 and/or Mr. Clean Eraser. Keep a brush nearby to work it in if needed. Finalize with Aerospace 303 Protectant or Plexus Plastic Cleaner/Protectant.
Yep...those magic eraser are great, just remember they are still an abrasive. Be careful. Heard a story about someone who used one to remove bugs from the front of their car. Bugs were indeed magically removed...so was a bunch of the wax and paint!
