Default Handy Tool

I just ran across these in one of my auto magazines and thought they looked pretty cool. The nice thing is that they're made of glass reinforced nylon so they won't mar your interior pieces. Looks like a great tool for anyone who needs to remove those pesky pins from the interior pieces (without scratching them up). I hate trying to pull them with a screwdriver.

While I'm sure the quality is not the same as the Snap-On product, I'm pretty sure I saw the same set of tools at Harbor Freight (made of some type of plastic.....non-maring) for much less.

No doubt about the Snap-On price being higher. I'm sure the Harbor Freight product will be just as good.

Seems like a low price for snap-on.

Could find a lot of uses for those.

I already have that set in my roll-a-way. They're great for removing interior panels. You can get them for about 1/2 the price if you don't get Snap-On.

I bought something similar from Harbor Freight for $5 at the time

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=67021

It may be cheap chinese crap, but it serves its purpose well.

I bought the ones from Harbor Freight a couple of months ago and they were junk. They would just bend when trying to remove the door panels on my van. I returned them.

A lot (if not most) of the tools at Harbor Freight are Chinese made junk, but I shop there often and have a lot of them in my toolboxes.
I base my purchase decision on how hard, or often, I plan to use the tool.
Why spend tens or hundreds of dollars on something if you know you’re only going to use it a few times.
Sometimes it’s actually cheaper to buy something there, use it a few times and then toss it out.
Even cheaper than renting a tool that you only need once or twice.
If it’s something that I know I’m going to use hard and often, I’ll spend the money on a quality brand.

For things like ratchets, sockets etc...it must be forged in USA, but things like this...they're made of nylon anyway, just not that crucial.

Snap-On makes good tools. I purchased an oil filter remover strap from a Snap-On truck and been using it for years.

Most of my tools are Snap-On, however as a previous post mentioned some tools that are not used often I could not see spending the big bucks.
I don't use any Chinese tools!! I'm too old and fragile to tear up my hands when they fail
Good all American tools, SK,Sears,Proto and others.

I have those and while they are good for some things, they are not strong enough to remove the door panels. I turst tried them last Friday on my drivers door panel, no good
