Default Question about wheel adapters and offset

I have a set of the Vossen vvs-087 wheels that I have had widened to 12.5 inches to accommodate my rear Z06 quarters. Does anyone know what size wheel adapter I need to make them fit flush with the quarter without sticking out?

The offset before modification was +75 but Im assuming that has changed since they were widened.

Thanks for any help!

Oh, here is a pic of the rim.

You've added 1 1/2'' (38 mm) to the wheel with a +76 mm offset (approx. 3'') for a total of 114 mm. The stock OEM Z06 offset is 59 mm. So 114-59= 55 mm or approx 2". You could probably get away with a 1 3/4" spacer which would put the wheel a 1/4" nearer to the inboard housing and the outboard fender lip than the OEM Z06 12" wheel.

To prove it, pull the rear wheel and set the widened wheel in the place where you want it and measure the distance between the axle hub bolt surface and the wheel bolt surface.

Offset doesn't matter the way you changed the wheels. You added 1.5" to the inside (frame side) of the wheel so the outside (fender side) stays the same clearance.

If the Z06 fender is the usual 1.5" wider than the C6 then you need a 1.5" spacer to get the same tire/fender relationship as stock.

Might be easier to think of it in old style terms; Back space = mounting face to back edge of the wheel and front space = front edge of the wheel to the fender. Widening the wheel the way you did your back space added 1.5", your front space is unchanged by widening the wheel. But, your fenders are 1.5" wider so you need to move the wheel out 1.5" to line up with the new fenders. Tthe spacers need to be = to the difference between the old fender width and the new fender width.

He didn't change the offset by 38mm. Offset is measured from the CENTER of the wheel and the center of a 12.5" wheel is different from the center of an 11.0" wheel. He changed the BACKSPACE by + 1.5". The offset CHANGE would be closer to 19mm to end up with an offset of 94mm.

That was the theory I was going by.
