Default Winter c6 driving?

Im looking into a c6 vette as a daily driver. I will also need to drive in the snow. With snow tires and rimms.

Who here drives thier c6 vette year round in the snow.

I had very good experience with my 335i rear wheel drive in the snow for the past 3 yrs. Snow tires and 17" rimms.

I was just wondering if the vette is too low and wide to handle the snow?

So any of you guys with just one ride, a c6, please let me know if this is a go or a no go for a year round vette.

This past year we has 2 , 11 inch snow falls. But once the streets are cleared, My BMW went like a tank,,, actually it was kinda fun.

Thanks in advance!

Wont do very well. Even with snow tires it having so much torque and being low to the ground it will just get stuck everywhere. I suggest a beater car for the winter instead.

My 08 is my daily driver but I do not drive it in the snow. I just wouldn't. Buy a little truck for the snow and leave the vette home. No salt, sand and clean too.

Hi,

I have an 08 Coupe that I DD and even took to a Snow driving school. I realise that this isn't so common amongst vette drivers but perfectly feasible.

I sent you a PM with more info.

I drive mine year-round but never in the snow. I am finally getting a Winter beater because up till now I would borrow my wife's car if it was going to snow.

I'll be getting one before summer is over.

I drive mine year round rain/shine/snow whatever comes. I do have the fortunate situation where if there is a large amount (say 4-6") that I can work at home instead of going to the office, but the rest of the time I'm out in it.

I think we only had about 2 storms where I just didn't want to deal with the snow.

I don't recommend this, but I did the driving this season with my stock C6 wheels and tires on it, so it CAN be done, but dedicated snow tires will help quite a bit.

Chicago and suburbs do a pretty darn good job keeping the streets clear on the major roads I travel, but the side streets can get interesting.

Of course I grew up driving RWD cars and in the snow belt so a light touch on the go pedal and experience in braking is a key skill to not getting in trouble.

Flame suit on.

LOLOL Troll,, thats always what I have thought,,, I know.

And Fluffy , that looks fun, congrats on having the ***** to take your vette to an event like that,,, esp what the instructor said about never thinking about taking his there. funny funnnyyy

I think I will bi pass the vette as a DD, I dont see it busting over snow piles, ice chunks.

Thanks all and enjoy!
