Recently I was considering an 07 that had been on the for sale section for the past six months or so. When the owner informed me it had been in a minor accident with minor damage involving a bent rim I became more concerned and investigated in more detail.
I discovered the accident involved a Honda Civic t-boning the vette on the drivers side to the extent the Honda had to be towed away.
Is there a way to report this kind of FACTUAL information on the CF site? I ordered and received a copy of the accident report.
then in that case, I'd say it's truly, caveat emptor. the info is there, if not from the seller, from other readily available sources. if a potential buyer chooses not to use those, I don't think there's any responsibility on the part of a private website which this is to publish that information. this site doesn't take any responsibility, and legitimately so, for any items being sold, the veracity of what/how they are described or their condition. that is the responsibility of the buyer and seller. no different from a newspaper that takes an ad imo.
