Default Mud Flaps Question

Hello All,
I would like to pursue obtaining and installing mud flaps. I have seen them and also see the road dirt that is on my car in that area. I wonder how these mud flaps are installed? Anyone out there have any? Where did you get them and how did you put them on your car?
Thanks so much for your advice.

These are the www.apsisusa.com long Z06 splash guards.
Very easy install. I believe the install instructions are on the site.
I had the stock GM Z06 splash guards but decided to change to these.
The protection to the paint is much better with this version and I like the look alot more.

Check with Gene Culley (GM Parts House) for the OEM version which IMHO looks the best.

They attach using the same plastic 'rivets' that connect the wheel wells to the fenders. There is also a strip of double sided tape already applied to the mud flaps.

You pop the center pin of the rivet out, it doesn't have to come all the way off, then pry the rivet out.

Install is pretty easy, but do it when it's warm so the adhesive strip will stick/set up.

There are also aftermarket models but the GM flaps fit the best and appear the most integrated.

Worthwhile appearance mod that protects your car.

I have these http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...-305-6776.html

Very easy to install. The front uses pushpins the rear uses little clips. They have seen 150mph and are still on.

The GM ones I've seen require drilling for the rear.

You can buy the entire GM set from Kevin at Parts Taxi who is a Forum vendor for about $92.00. Installation is very simple. I see that you are a new member here, welcome and you will also find a ton of questions that other people ask when you do a search. You will see how helpful it can be.

I have a set of the Pipedreams ones you can have for free. I am putting a ZR1 front end on and don't need these any longer. They worked great and are pretty stealth looking.
PM me your addres if you want them

I have the Pipe Dreams mini flaps. If I were to do it again I would get the larger ones from GM.

I went with GM's guards and they look/work great. You can barely see them even on bright colors.

I have installed several sets of the GM splash guards. They are very easy to install and are the right look and scale for the car. Under $100 can' beat 'em.

I went with the pipedreams splash guards mainly because i didn't want to make any modifications to my car and installing the rear GM splash guards involves drilling holes for the push pin things. Also, at the time Ed was running a special for like $25 or something so it was really inexpensive to try out to see if I even liked the way they looked on the car.
