I bought a 08Z. I put some new rubber on it and some injector cleaner
along with a oil change. Drove about 1000 miles. Car runs good.
I added the attack blue filter. Idle increased a little. Then came back down. Now after a few hunded miles. It defintely runs better and mileage is up too! This is a no brainer easy mod. The surface area
of the filter if you flatten it out. Would be more than twice the stock
element. I also changed out the cabin filter it was pretty dirty.
This was a AZ car so I think the stock element was getting a little
plugged already at 15k as the butOmeter, and by the sound of the motor it picked up some noticeable HP. The Attack blue has my seal of approval!

(I have about the same mileage as you on my '09)
for decades, I have installed a K&N filter in every motorized vehicle I have owned.... cars, motor cycles, 4 wheelers... you name it... K&N never came out with something for the 08 vette...oe replacement... after reading and studying here.... even back in design changes... i picked this puppy to go in. yes, im low mileage, but i dont care, im not much on paper filters at all....... and I do maint. and clean my fab filters on a regular basis... ie: after pollen season is done..... or road trip where lots of dust is present..... a high flow air filter cant be beat, its the heart of the combustion~!

I have an extended GMPP, 6 years/72,000. Would using an after-market air filter void my expensive warranty?
Thanks to all.
it will not void your warranty unless you have a failure that can be directly traced to the install of the aftermarket piece. This air filter has been refined to the point of the chance that would happen is nill.
Im going to get my mechanic to stick the filter in at my next oil change.. he's been doing small and major work on all my toys since 97... he's awesome.... and he'll do it for nothing while its at the dealership ( i give him a hefty tip to buy lunch though...LOL) I think the links provided sum it up. I ve looked at the install and its not that bad, but why do it if I dont have too.....
Improvement feedback you will get for sure...... but one improvement is already built in..... its a lifetime filter...... clean it, put it back....... no more shelling out $$$ for new ones. kinda like buying a good pair of shoes.... you get them resoled... you dont just throw away the shell cause the sole is worn out......

Awesome across the board
We have been getting overwhelming responses similar to yours.
Thank you for your purchase and for taking the time to post.
BTW, when its time to clean the filter, unlike other oils our oil (which is specifically made for the Mamba/Attack Blue filters) does NOT clog or hurt the MAF sensor.

it's marketing hype
I believe when gbgary posted about mileage he was referring to distance/the amount traveled not gas mileage.
However if he was refering to gas mileage, most of the posts throughout this forum including the original member who started this thread (Rock'n Blue 08) have experienced better gas mileage between a 2-4 mpg improvement with the filter. No hype.
what does mileage have to do with installing a high-flow air filter?
It was just a do you have to change it or want to change it question. Typically, I change filters about 12K +/- or depending on how they look.
Six thousand seems a bit early, but everyone drives in different conditions. Wolfdogs makes a good point about pollen season.
The green dust is EVERYWHERE around here.
