Default AC. Problem

C6 08 Auto-8000 mi.
System is producing no cold air. The only thing I notice is the Recirculation button (Beside Auto Button) lights up about 10 sec. after I put system in Auto Mode. Is that normal?
Any suggestions before I go to dealer?

You are probably low on refrigerant (R134a). You could have a leak in the system. I would just take it to the dealer since you are still under warranty. These systems should not leak, especially on such a new car.

Don't let them just refill the system. The dealer should put a dye into the system to help find the leak. Finding a leak is not always an easy thing to do, and can take a long time. Don't let them off the hook.

The recirculation comes on because the AC is trying to lower the temperature faster. The theory is that by recirculating cold air rather then mixing in warm air, the temp goes down faster.

Thanks for your help. Is it possible the compressor is leaking or is it more likley a loose connection in the system?
