I would take your $40K and buy a brand new 1LT or buy a slightly used vette. You will have peace of mind and you can always mod later.

I don't know anything about '05 Lingenfelter's but....you know GM didn't make a Z06 in '05, right? So I don't know why this seller is using Z06 in the description......false marketing? Did Lingenfelter use the Z06 name? I doubt it but I don't know.

This is a highly modded car (duh!). So I don't know there are any direct comparisons. Have you seen this car in person? The only comparison that comes to my mind is what can you buy for 40k. If you want a powerful modded out car here it is. Keep in mind how hard it may be to resell.

Who said this car would sell for $40k??? The reserve may be over $100K.

good point!
It does really boil down to how much is this car worth to this buyer. This is not a compare like car to like car down the road.

I don't see the actual mileage listed anywhere. Just what has been put on the car after the conversion.

MARSC6:

Good point on the mileage, but after looking, I found a picture of the odometer showing 8545 miles.

In my opinion, this is a hard one to speculate a price on. This week I got a line on a custom 04 Z06 with auto tranny. It will sell for a lot less than what it cost to convert it.

In the case of the car you are asking about, it's worth what someone will pay for it and that might be a lot less than what the owner wants to sell it for.

Wish I could help. have you considered contacting the seller and asking him what it will take to buy it?
