Storage oil change???
I'm a snow bird. My 05 C6 sits from May to Oct each year in a nice cooled garage.
My question is: We leave for Montana this May and leave the vette in a nice controlled climate controlled garage on a battery tender. I changed the oil with Mobile 1 and the filter with lube, 5/30 last Nov 09. I've driven the car less than 1000 miles and now we are leaving it stored until Nov 2010. I don't want to waste money for nothing. Do I need to change out the oil and filter?
Thanks

I would just to be safe. If you have driven it at all, acids that build up in the oil can cause damage to internal engine parts when they just sit there.
An oil change is a small price to pay for piece of mind.
I would also recommend changing it when you get back if it WASN'T in a climate controlled garage. Condensation also collects inside the engine. But I think you should be OK in that regard.
