I applied Rejex to my car before installing a VentureShield clear bra. Before installing the VentureShield I washed it well as did the installer. Other than that there was no special prep and the bra has held up quite well for over four years. If anything I would think that it would make removing the bra without any paint damage easier. I'll probably be able to confirm that for you next season.
Think about it, if the stuff won't come off except for mechanical means how would it possibly compromise the bra?
I have been using Rejex on my Vettes for years. First of all, it will not last for a year unless you never drive the car. My Vette is a daily driver, 20K per year, and I Rejex every 3 months, washing my car every week. I have a clear bra on my bumper and mirrors, and use Plexus on the clear bra. Plexus is made for shining and protectiing clear bras. They never yellow.

Just my two cents. My 3M installer told me do not put anything on car, no wax, no Zaino no Rejex etc. I only had the car two weeks. The only thing I did was wash the car. When he was done I washed it and gave the car the complete Zaino treatment including the bra. That was Oct 2006. No problems yet. I use Zaino on the bra all the time. No yellowing. Bugs come right off. Choose a good installer and Good Luck

Plexus is very bad for clear bras. Xpel has posted numerous posts on here regarding the use of Naptha based products on clear bras and their long term effects... with photos. I would highly recommend not using Plexus anymore.

We have done internal testing and if you use a naptha based product you are going to experience yellowing in most cases.

Have you done any testing on putting clear bra material over paint sealants? That could go a long way toward answering the OP's question and others' curiosity.

There are no long term issues with applying over a sealant. The problem is with installation. With the surface being that slick, it is often very difficult to get good adhesion in the application timeframe needed, which can result in poor installation quality. This would look like imperfections in the surface of the film, lines, etc.
The best installation quality is done on paint free of waxes and sealants, and since the film protects the paint underneath anyway, there is no benefit to the paint in sealing first.
