Just want to make sure I understand the Owner's Manual correctly. Since my car is a manual, if I use the Auto Exit Recall when getting out of the car, when I reenter the Auto Seat Memory Recall will not return the seat to my preset position. Therefore the only way to reset it is to push the button on the door panel. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance
You are correct; auto recall is for automatics only, because you have to push the clutch in to start the manual (generate a potential safety issue).
Just a thing regarding the manual trans - if you leave the car running during exit, and have the e-brake pulled, you have to press the auto exit button for the seat to retract. When you get back in, and the car is still running, you have to press the memory 1 or 2 button to put the seat back where you have it set.
If the car is not running, you only have to pull up the e-brake for the auto exit function to work (do not have to press the button). With the car not running, even if you open the door and have forgotten to pull up the e-brake, just go ahead and pull it up with the door still open and the auto exit function will retract the seat. It is a great reminder to set the e-brake.
I have an Auto.. the memory works fine.. when I shut it off & open the door the seat goes all the way back, & when I start it up it goes back to position #1.
I would like to change the position it goes to when I open the door... When I shut it off can I program the seat to go only 1/2 or 3/4 of the way back instead of "ALL THE WAY" I'm only 5'10" and don't need the seat to go so far back...
I have been able to program the driving position for #1 and #2 but cant set it for when I shut the car off??

Sorry for the hi-jack....
I believe you can. Set the seat in the exit position you want, then press the exit button until you hear the memory saving beep.

Almost. Actually, you can program the exit position to be automatic, but it's only automatic when you open the door, not when you shut the engine off. And you should be able to program the exit position for any amount of backward travel.

What about the telescopic wheel, mine comes out towards me on exit and I want it to go inwards the dash (I'm 6' tall)

Sorry, something not right there, you shouldn't have to push any buttons to return to your preset settings, the FOB knows those settings, not sure what your doing wrong.
I'm only 2 weeks into a C6, not much help to you but will watch this thread...

No, please read your owner's manual or read the responses above.
If your C6 has the manual transmission, GM's lawyers don't want your seat moving while you're trying to hold the clutch in and starting the car.
If you have the manual tranny, driving position for the seat is NOT automatic.

This is correct. Your original question was accurately answered in post # 3 of this thread.
