Which Would You Take
I know this is a Corvette Forum, and 99.99% of people here are biased to Vette's myself included...
But "IF" you could afford only one, which would you take"
The Audi R8 or
Corvette ZR1

I love the ZR1 as much as the next guy but having owned two Audi A6s immediately before buying my C6, I'd have to choose the R8. Audis are very special cars IMO, especially when you get into their hi-po models like the R8, S8, and S6. Those who've owned Audis know what I'm talking about; most who haven't owned them don't.

Your sooo right, my wife has the A4 (V6) Cabriolet, but the dealership has a 2007 S Cabriolet the Vert with a V8 and 6 speed (manual) I took it for a drive and fell in love...
But I would have to give up my C6 to get it...
ain't gonna do that!!

Do we have to take the maintenance and repair bills of the car we choose....cause there will be a big difference there....

If it was the V10 Audi I would go with that but otherwise the ZR1.

No contest. If I could afford a $100,000 car I would pick a new ZR1 over any other new car.

Unless we're talking a new Lambo, Ferrari, Bentley or Bugatti - ZR1 here

I voted ZR1, but I'd rather just keep my Vette, and my cash thank you.

I'm curious how many of those who say they'd choose the ZR1 have actually seen an R8 up close or driven one. It is absolutely a supercar at a relatively bargain price.

There is a guy here in my hometown that has a new R8 V8 that is black with silver side panels. It is beautiful, but I would still take the ZR1.

well the R8 costs more, especially the V10, but if money were no object it'd be close. Id have to drive both. Both are holding value well so far.

If it's ZR1 vs R8, it'd have to be R8 because there's a convertible. If it's C6 vs R8, then C6 (vert) every time. The R8 is over-styled and already starting to date badly in its details.

There were two V10 R8s at a local dealer here in Houston six months ago. They run somewhere around $160,000.
