Dont drive it is the best to keep them from getting scratched. other than that, there is no way to keep the scratches and nicks away. I also wouldnt put some sort of film on them either as that will cause crazing in the lens after awhile. There are lens kits out that will buff out minor scratches.

i've seen just as many unfilmed lights with crazing as filmed.
put the protective film on the lenses. there's just as good a chance they won't craze but even if they happen to craze at least they'll be clear.

I've been told by several top notch clear bra installers and Corvette C6 owners that a thin clear bra film on headlights/fog lights does not cause crazing. Many C6 owners have had crazed headlights withut any film. The C6 headlights seem to get sctached and pitted very easily.
