Corvette vs Audi S5
Or if your currently considering trading the Vette in for the S5, Why?

The Audi S5 looks great as a coupe, although I do think they look and feel nose heavy. The convertible IMO doesn't look that great with the top down, it did drive nicely and was comfortable, but was not very engaging and had a limited fun factor.
I fell in love with the M3 and put it through a lot of paces on the back roads, but I couldn't find another clean used one and I didn't want to pay up for a new one.
The 335is is a new model for them that started hitting some dealers this week. In some respects, I like it better than the M3 as it feels lighter and it actually feels more engaging in the steering.
For pure fun however, I would take my ZO6 over any of them, even though it's not a vert.
F*** the Audi (no disrespect OP)
But if you do own one, then you have a beautiful stable!
(OP- S5 is an amazing car)
just out of my range, heck I can't afford a C6...

The cabriolet with its supercharged V6 is a different story. I know it's powerful and quick but there's no substitute for the sensations and sounds of a modern V8.
The Audi is a nice looking car it's just more conservative looking and it has a back seat. The only person I wanted to cart around was my husband. Wow, I just looked at the fuel economy and the Audi only gets 16 mpg (city). The Vette averages 26 highway and 21 with the mild to wild on. Not that any of us bought the Vette for the fuel economy but I was impressed when I noticed that.
The S5 is a little heavy... and slightly underpowered compared to the LS3.
I like AWD....I like the availability of rear seats but not enough to offset the loss of performance compared to the Vette.
Good looking car. Not to replace the vette but a good companion ...although for the coin?
I'd go for a CTS V which basically runs the same price (give or take a few bucks)
I believe its a better companion to a vette...and the upcoming CTS V coupe...imo is hands down more attractive from a performance standpoint to the Audi S5 coupe...
I'd rather buy snow tires if need be for a CTS V coupe than go for the Audi S5 coupe...even if it comes with AWD..
Both nice cars though.
I just couldn't pass up on 556hp of the LSA

If performance has much to do with your love for cars, you'll be stepping slightly downward with an S5
BUT as I said, it is a veery nice looking car with a gorgeous interior. I great driver..
I bought my '08 C6 brand new & optioned for $43K. How much for an S5, LOL...
I have owned 3 audi's and 3 vettes, two different cars, but both great in different ways.
The deciding factor on this last car was I wanted to spend my money with a US company.

Although as stated the Audi is a pretty nice car and, AWD is nice depending on the car. AWD in a Vette would be awful. But, I would have to go with either the CTS-V coupe or sedan hands down. 556hp V-8 is just to much to pass for the Audi. And ,both the Caddy's are sharp looking well equipped cars.
