Thanks Paul! Great info ... did anybody at the bash mention if the new base wheels are cast (like most C6 wheels) or forged (like the Gumby's)?? I am apparently in the minority but I think they look decent, but like forged wheels (and run polished Gumby's at the moment).
Any HP or other performance ehancements to the 2011? Engine, Drive train, suspension?
No engine changes. Magnetic Selective Ride Control is now available on the Z06 as part of thr Z07 Performance Package; it's standard on the Z06 Carbon. Drilled rotors are available as a stand-alone option on base coupes and convertibles with standard suspension. (They're still part of F55.)
Thanks for posting this for those of us that couldn't be there.
I really like that Z06 carbon, especially the alcantara interior, but not the door decal.
Greetings everyone. Thanks again for the kind words. Back from another busy day. We have so many thunder storms going on around us I'm headed off line but I promise I'll try to get to all the unanswered questions tomorrow.

That makes the C7 next summer as a 2012 an absolute/confirmed - the C6 needs a power boost BAD (Mustang GT now at 412HP for under 35K), so they must be saving a HP boost for the C7 (like when the C6 came out at prior Z06 performance levels).
I think it's a real shame, because the C7 will likely be smaller with skinnier rubber - and a 450+ HP Grand Sport convertible would have been a hell of a collector as the last great big engine vette - but not at only 436HP...

I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. Do you care to enlighten us? The word from the GM guys yesterday was that while they're diligently working on the C7, it's still at least several years away. Though one can never be absolutely certain, I didn't get the sense that they were just blowing smoke. FWIW.
Paul, Thanks for the information and the pics of the 2011's. I wish I could of made it there this year to see everyone and the new vettes. What do you think of the Inferno Orange color on the vette? I really love the DSOM on the 2005/2006 but I sure am thinking about the IO 2011 Vette (prefer GS).

Sure they said that - what else are they gonna say? ...or true to their word, they could just skip a year, like in 1983, as there will be so many unsold 2010s and 2011s around for a while...
Thanks very much for posting. I really appreciate the advanced info in the 2011.The more I looked the more apparent it become to me the general is paying attention to what we are doing here on the Forum and the most popular mods we do. .

Actually the new Mustang GT leaps right over the LS3's 430 HP. It's underrated by Ford at 412 but dynoing at 450. Who cares, the 2011 Corvette has colored thread and a black eye paint option!

I stand behind my original question. Any response?

Did you even bother to read Paul's post at the beginning of this thread? There's probably as much new this year as in any year of the C6 since the first changes were made in 2006. What changes are you looking for anyway?
Hey Paul, were you sitting about 2/3rds of the way up, right in the middle of the theater? I think I was sttting next to you. Did you take a photo of the slide showing the 2010 production numbers, and breakdown of the models?
Paul, I'm surprised there has been no mention of how much the CF Z06 weighs?
With all the CF the CF Z06 has to weigh less than 3100 pounds. Maybe closer to 3000 pounds. That alone is one of the best "performance enhancing" improvements any manufacture could implement.
