Took car for a drive yesterday,,,,, havent drove it for a month. Cranked up the stereo and really dont see why guys complain about the sound? Now i have added one ten inch woofer and a decent amp. That really rounds out the system for me. The stock bass lacks plenty but the mids and hi range are good once you add a woofer.
My only complaint is the steering wheel controls, i tend to fast forward and rewind alot, and i wish the steering wheel "up and down" button would let me do that. Maybe they did it so you wouldnt drive and hold the button down? But that would be safer then reaching over and doing it on the dash. All in all the car system sounds great, you would be shocked at how much one subwoofer adds to the entire sound. My complaint??????? pretty small compalint at that Regards, paul AMP VOLUME CONTROL
I listen to MP3 CDs most of the time and my steering wheel buttons will let me fast forward and rewind. If I tap one, it advances to the next MP3 file in that folder, but if I hold down the button, it rewinds or fast forwards...same way the >> or << buttons do on my portable MP3 player....are you sure you have tried this?
It also works the same way on regular music CDs...

mine if i hold it down doesnt do anything until i let up, then it skips to next song. My dash controls work the way you describe,,,,maybe i have an issue?
With all the noise coming from the stereo, how can you hear the roar of the engine and the rumble of the exhaust
Most stereo systems have an on-off and volume ****.
While adding a Sub is great, for alot of us it doesnt solve all the issues. I pulled out the whole Bose shebang and added quality components. Now my Vette sounds like it performs, top notch.IMO
I have to admit I have turned on my stereo once or twice just to make sure it was working. I always cruise with the NPP open and to me that is more than enough music for me. However I am glad you found a solution so you can better enjoy your music, nice job.

Like they say, "No highs, no low, must be Bose."
I have the Bose system w/NAV/XM in my '07 coupe. Replaced the stock speakers with Polks, added tweeters in the doors (easy to do) and the system kicks ***! (of course, I use my iPod with the LockPick too). As the Polks are also more efficient than the stock speakers, the system is a LOT louder while still being clean as well
I'd put it up against just about anything out there -

I guess that this is the way it works with the NAV unit, but not with the others...mine says that this is the correct way for it to work in the NAV manual. I checked the unit this morning and it will fast forward with the steering wheel buttons on both MP3 and regular CDs.
i see your point,,,,,but consider the car has more then a few features. If you are in it for the speed whos cares about the looks or visa versa. "Me", i enjoy ***** out and enjoy crusing with me tunes as well
I enjoy alot of parts of the car you as well as others might find useless. Stereo, AC, Power windows, Power steering are all horsepower robbers and might be dumb to some,,,,,not me
