DIC lighting question
A few years ago I replaced my black gauge faces with silver ones on my '06. Although they look good with my black and silver interior theme, they are hard to read sometimes in various ambient light conditions, and in hindsight it was probably a mistake to have done this mod. Oddly, the time that they really show up best is when I enter my dark garage in a relatively low light condition such as in the early evening, and they automatically light up in full bright mode. In contrast, while driving in complete darkness, the lighting is rather dim, even when I turn the manual brightness **** all the way on. Rather than go back and perform the tedious task of reverting back to the black gauges, is there a way to "fool" the automatic dash-top sensor to keep the gauge lighting on FULL bright all the time? If not, is there another over-ride solution to this problem?
