Sometimes we do the wrong thing for the right reasons.... A few years back, I backed off of a deal for a BMW M-5 and bought a 528 instead. After only 58 days, I traded it for a 540 Sport. Not a cheap lesson in getting what makes you happy - but I kept that car for almost 6 years!
Glad you are back in your Vette! Happy Birthday!!!!

Well, after 4 months of not having my C6 I finally got my baby back. Brief recap, in January I traded my car for a.......gulp........09 Saturn Aura. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Trying to be financially responsible plus some depression and I guess being confused about what I wanted in life...I traded her.
Well, long story short I went back to the same dealership and bought my car back. The sales manager sold it to me for only $1300 more than what they gave me on trade, $27000 vs $28300. They had it advertised for $29995. The trade for the Aura was pretty fair also. So on the whole deal from when I traded originally back in January until now I took about a $4000 bath. Whatever, I honestly don't even care. I got my car back.
Driving home tonight I got a little misty-eyed. God I missed that car. A C6 is much faster than I remember. That was my first thought when driving. You guys just don't know how happy I am right now.
Anyways, I just wanted to share my story. I'm also glad to be back on here. Lesson: If you want something in life........and you have the means...........then do it. Same goes for correcting mistakes. Don't take things for granted. etc. I could go on. I def. have a new appreciation for my Z51. I will never let her go again.
If your curious, she is a 07 coupe Z51 velocity yellow MN6 1LT.

To the OP: Just think positively -- you have done your part for the economic recovery.
Some of us guys might like to get a previous lady back if they returned with a new rear end.

What a cool story, 4 K is no problem to get your C6 back. New rear end and upgrade on the warr, that rocks.
I love my job but it makes it a lot easier to go to work in the C6.
