Just bought a set for $1100 including labor and alignment. Could have bought a set of Firestone for about $1200 out the door without alignment....just did not work out. Everyone would have a different impression on any tire. Then again everyone drives differently. Anyway to me, these tires match my likings in almost every aspect. My car is much quieter and feels more stable.
I also changed to non-runflats a few weeks ago. Was going to get the Nittos but decided on the Kumho SPTs at the last minute. I just couldn't get used to the plain sidewall and tread pattern on the Invos. The SPTs have more of a stock look and match the car better IMO. I actually would have preferred the Nittos as I think they are a more prestigious brand but am happy with the SPTs.
Anyway glad you like your new tires. Now give that Vette a wash young man!
I agree that tires are a personal choice. I was going to get some Toyo performance tires but they were back ordered and I leave Monday for the Nevada Open Road Race. For NT05 you need a 12" rear wheel

What was the cost on the Kumho SPT's and where did you get them?
The tred on those invos look very exotic if you ask me compared to the factory tire tred. Hopefully those Invos are an all season tire.

That's funny...but seriously, I have had some brand new Invo's that smelled really bad. I had a set drop shipped to a local dealer, and the service manager mentioned the stink. It's been reported here from time to time, although I haven't read anything recently about it. It wouldn't stop me from continuing to use them, and the strange odor didn't last very long either. My C6 has 462 rwhp with 4.10 gears, and I get reasonable traction with them. They are a great tire for the money.
Got the SPTs at the local (Scottsdale) Discount Tire. Cost was $900 installed including TPMS recalibration. These guys know Corvettes and recommended the Kumho's over the Invo's on the basis of quieter ride and longer tire life. I'm sure either would be a good choice and much better than the stock GYs.
My RFs have 12k miles on them and ample tread left. The RFs are also very heavy - unsprung weight.
A possible scenario for me is wait in the desert for a tow truck to come 60 miles one way or use fix a flat. This assumes I can't find an object in the tire.

I bought 2 sets of Nitto's all at once and had all 8 brand new tires in my garage, 1 set of Invo's and a set of NT-05's. The smell (stink) was horrendous.... Once they get some miles on them the odor dissipates, but when new, yikes. I can't imagine a warehouse loaded with Nitto tires....
