LS2 and LS3 are designations for particular C6 engines. Are you perhaps asking about the differences between option packages 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT? If so, it's impossible to answer your question without knowing what model year of C6 you're talking about. The option packages change from year to year and are slightly different between coupe & vert.

F55 and Z51 are different suspension options, but one's not "better" than the other, just designed for different requirements. If you're going to track your car, you might want the Z51 package. If you have a lot of rough roads where you drive, you might want the F55 suspension.

Here's a sample of the 2006 coupe option package differences. Click the thumbnail for a bigger pic.

The Corvette Museum site lists all the differences/changes for each model year, check them out.

You can also use the Search for more info than you can imagine on the topic of Z51 and F55 suspension/packages. Magnetically controlled shocks are cutting edge technology that's available on the ZR1 and will be available on the GS and Z06 next year.

General advice is buy the newest C6 you can afford. '08 was a year that some very significant changes were implemented. '05's have the typical 'first year' hiccups but are great bargains and are still an improvement over the C5's, IMHO.

Don't be afraid to buy online from one of the highly rated C6 Forum Vendors. It's a buyers market.

Good Luck.
