Default wth?????? help yall

A while back.. last year, I bought those nifty little license tag bold covers... you know..they have the C6 logo on them...come with a little clear plastic sleeve you slip the bolt through..then after you install the bolt, the little cap just snaps on..

well, i had to put my new decal on my tag today..so that meant removing the top two..the bottom two are glued on to the clear smoke license plate cover... well.. the top left developed a small crack in it... it would not hold anymore.. so i simply super glued it to the top of the bolt...

which means, come next April.. when i get a new "yearly decal".. i have to trash it to take it off......

(get to the point wolfdogs)

So i figured, while im thinking about it.. ill order some new ones now so ill be ready...

I called Ecklers, RPI, Corvette America, and Mid America... the only places im sure I order from...

but all they have is chrome ones... mine are trimmed in black!!!

I cant figure out where I got them now!!!!!!! (its hell to get old..and it pays to save the reciept for parts even if they are little cheap ones)

Anyone know who sells these in black instead of chrome?

pic for proof.

No way this should be deleted. We all like to see "Older" forum members struggle with remembering stuff.

Lets see you needed help with hubcaps, right.

I have the chrome ones and the first time I removed them I had 2 that didn't want to stay on. I used a small amount of latex caulk inside the cap to glue it to the bolt. Stays on fine but is easy to remove.

Wolfdogs, Talking to yourself becomes a problem only when you ask yourself a question and then say WHAT.
