The label in question is called the AC refrigerant caution label and it is GM part # 10323111 on a 2005. It is available from any GM parts counter and it should run you between $16.00 and $20.00
Took mine off a few days ago and cleaned it up. Now looks better than ever. Don't need no stinkin' stickers telling me what refrigerant I need to use anyway
I peeled it off and the melting looks like it was underneath.
So putting on another will likely just happen again.
Cleaned it up and will leave it off for now.
I was able remove my sticker today off my 2006 by heating it with a blow dryer and peeling it off slowly. It came of pretty easily. There was quite a bit of glue residue left over which I removed by wiping off using an old t-shirt and DW40. Looks great. If someone does this the engine needs to be cold and I'd suggest using a glove for the hand your wiping the glue with. Mine slipped off the edge of the t-sirt and I got burned by the hot glue. Left a nice blister.
Also, I'm sure there may be something better to use than DW40 but I don't know what. Anyone have any suggestions?
I did notice that there are some ridges/rises/lines where two sides of the sticker used to be. I guess it gave GM a good line on where to place the stickers. This took me 10 minutes and was one of the most simple mods for better appearance that I've done.
