Yes the Vette does fart when you WOT and let it breathe the way tis supposed to. 
It doesn't happen so much since the headers and hi flo cats with the tune.

WOT more often and getting it nice and hot cleans out your cats and carbon. If you loaf that beast around to much you will get a sulpher fart when you do any WOT.

No there's nothing to it. When it's new you get a pretty strong burnt smell from the exhaust. After that it's just a fuel/exhaust (I really can't explain it) smell.
After 31,000 miles mine still has a fuel smell when I get on it hard.

Yup, when mine was new I got a really nice burnt wood smell. Kinda like the wood burning kits I had as a kid.

I had it on the C5.... I thought it happened after the header/hi flow cats/exhaust install...
Come to find out, it was oil from the leaky rear diff, hitting the exhaust. I fixed that by getting the C6.
